I’d love to meet you!

1. I take a balanced, holistic and integrative approach to nutrition and will never give you a number of calories that you should be eating every day.

2.  Understanding the theory of fetal programming was a lightbulb moment for me when I realized I could combine my interest in prenatal nutrition with my innate desire to help prevent chronic disease in adults.

3. My philosophy on creating lasting change was largely informed by principles of Kaizen.

4. The first time I truly started paying attention to my nutrition was when I decided to participate in the Miss America Organization. Competing in the system taught me a lot, but the most important thing I gained was an appreciation for how proper nutrition made me feel my best and boosted my self-confidence.

5. I like to be active every day. However, the first time I ever set foot into a real gym was in college. I was too intimidated to go until a friend offered to show me how to use the machines!

6. As an RD, my experience ranges from clinical to outpatient to corporate settings. I have provided counseling in the areas of geriatric nutrition, weight management, diabetes, general wellness, and eating disorders, among others. I have also had the privilege of teaching at UCLA.

7. Growing up with both my mom and dad as amazing home cooks nurtured my love for all things in the kitchen. Cooking and baking are almost meditative for me, and I love trying out new recipes.

8. I have a background in business development, which I’ve found serves me well in nutrition. I enjoy the process of getting to know my clients, understanding their specific needs and working with them to reach their goals.

9. Social media is a struggle for me. I’ve tried it, but I just can’t seem to get into it. I post on Instagram very seldom, mostly because it requires more time than I’m willing to give it. I love connecting with people, though, so feel free to call or email me!

10. My dog requires a lot of exercise, which means I also get a lot of exercise! Beyond our daily long walks, I enjoy Pilates, yoga, and strength training.
